Description
Finally, you can enjoy a cold drink outside in the beautiful weather — here’s a fitting and fun tool for it.
It is easy to assemble, simple to use, and a lot of fun to make bottle caps pop.
This is a further development of the popular Extremely Loud Bottle Opener.

The design has been revised to enable comfortable one-handed use.
And of course, you can still make the bottle caps pop — whether you’re left-handed, right-handed, or even using both at once ;)
There are countless different bottle shapes, which means the opener cannot fit all of them. I have created print profiles for the two most common bottle types: the German NRW bottle and the Corona bottle. For this, please take a look at the instructions. There are also right-handed and left-handed versions.
This bottle opener is not a decoration — it’s a functional tool that has to handle force when opening a bottle. That’s why the following points are important to make sure it works properly.
The opener has to fit the bottle exactly. Only when it sits correctly can it apply the necessary force without damaging itself. You can find out how to identify the correct bottle shape in the instructions.
Additionally, using the right filament is crucial. Filaments with additives like silk, matte, wood, or similar effects tend to make the print more brittle and less durable, so the bottle opener could break more easily. Even PLA-CF and PETG-CF can be more brittle because of the added fibers. For the best results, regular standard filaments are recommended.
A clear recommendation for the opener base is regular PLA, since it offers high stiffness, barely bends, and is sufficiently durable. This helps maintain an exact fit, even while opening the bottle.
PETG works as well, but it’s a lot less stiff and flexes more under pressure. In the worst case, the lever can slip off and get damaged by the bottle cap without even opening the bottle.
If you want to use more advanced filaments, I assume you already know how to work with them.
There are also plenty of other factors that can vary, like the filament brand, bottle manufacturer, drink temperature, printing process, how the opener is used, and more. I’m trying to make sure the opener works perfectly for as many users as possible. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case for everyone, since there are many factors I can’t control. In any case, I’ll do my best to help if you run into any problems — just reach out.
To increase the lifespan of the lever, I developed a version with a brass threaded stud attachment. The corresponding profile “Reinforced Lever” with both the right- and left-handed lever has been uploaded and remains compatible with all openers available here. The assembly instructions in the attachment have also been updated.
You can obtain the required M3x6 Double-pass Knurled Brass Stud via the BOM. By doing so, you also support the project and its further development.
There are currently two print profiles:
Please only use profiles uloaded by Designer. Other profiles were not created by me and may be outdated.
The opener consists of 4 parts: the base, lever, cover, and nut. Here are the most important print settings for them.
FAQ
The base broke during the first use, why?
If the base breaks during use, either the opener does not fit the bottle correctly or an unsuitable filament was used. If the opener fits the bottle properly and you are using it correctly, please make sure to carefully read the filament recommendations in the description.
The lever wears out quickly, why?
If there are problems with the lever, it is often because it slips off the bottle cap due to the opener not fitting the bottle correctly or because the base flexes too much downward.
I’m having problems with overhangs or spaghetti on the base, what can I do?
The base has 60° overhangs, which normally should not cause any problems with Basic PLA even without supports. If issues do occur, please enable supports or reduce the layer height.
The opener does not fit my bottle. What should I do?
