Why pay thousands of dollars for an airless ball? Use your machine to make your very own or the perfect gift for others.

When printed with BIQU PLA-HR this ball will weigh between 605g and 610g (the official NBA weight is between 580g and 620g). The bounce and play response will be great and is sure to turn heads on the court. Durability of the ball is incredible with it being able to withstand rough play without the structure being compromised.

It is recommended to use the settings in the provided 3mf file to complete the print. However, if you prefer to enter them manually then you can follow the guidelines below:

  • Nozzle size - 0.6mm highly recommended. You can use a 0.4mm nozzle but the bounce will be slightly reduced.
  • Layer height - 0.18mm for a 0.6mm nozzle. 0.16mm for a 0.4mm nozzle.
  • Walls - 10
  • Infill - 100% concentric
  • Flow rate - 6mm^3/s
  • Supports - Manually painted. Buildplate only. Initial layer expansion = 15mm. Set the threshold to 45 degrees, overhangs only and then paint onto the highlighted part at the base. Be careful not to paint parts of the ball above the base which may become highlighted otherwise the slicer may attempt to grow supports through the ball. You may want to use a support blocker above the 45 degree marker line to prevent this.
  • Nozzle temperature - 230C
  • Bed temperature - 40C for BIQU Cryogrip glacier (recommended), 75C for textured PEI, 65C with glue stick for smooth PEI.
  • Part cooling fan - 100%
  • Auxiliary cooling fan - Between 70% and 100% with 100% recommended.
