Description
Handheld tape dispenser, which is based on an empty Prusament spool or spools from other companies as well.
The best fit is with the original Prusament spool and when printed using Prusament PETG settings.
Other spools, such as the Sunlu spool in the second image, will also work, but the Prusament spool should work best. Unfortunately, I did not have an empty Prusament spool yet, so I had to print and install a dummy spool, which was a bit too tight. However, while testing on a full spool I have, it was sliding perfectly.
The bolts were printed with PETG at 80% infill and a 45° orientation. I've printed some of them using LUME filament on Prusament settings, and they fit perfectly. Those printed from Sunlu were tight but still fit.
Please check the tolerances on your specific printer and filament to avoid breaking of bolts inside the holes and having to reprint; first gently try screwing it in and if the reqired force is too big then please rescale just the bolts and wrench on XY axes in vertical orientation
I admit that this implementation is not the best, however I'm happy to share the idea, and if someone is interested, I would be happy to prepare a V2 version. Also it might be possible to heat insert the tape knife on rolling part for cutting.
If some will have any feedback i would be happy to iterate on that from May.
