****Version 2 is live. Stackable and 50% of the time to print → https://makerworld.com/en/models/1898779-pin-art-fidget-v2-stackable-and-50-faster#profileId-2034587 *****

Made this small (2"x2") pin-art fidget toy because I wanted thinner, longer pins than the pin art toys available and wanted it to print in 2 separate plates for easy color change/contrast without wasting a lot of print time and filament. It took a lot of testing to get this to work but the end result feels  and sounds so satisfying when you play around with it.

About the print itself:

  1. Print the first plate with the base first
  2. Print the riser on plate 2 second
  3. Print  plate 3 with the pins
  4. Printer will automatically pause at Layer 117
  5. Carefully slide the riser then the base onto the pins until the tips of the pins protrude slightly
  6. Resume the print
  7. Some hand peeling will be required to remove the brim on the bottom (I know that it is annoying but adhesion was important  for this one)
  8. If any pins are not moving well they should get smoother by exercising back and forth. (If there are bumps on a pin near where the print was resumed you can use a blade to shave off the bump and then exercise)

*Note: Cleaning the plate with dish soap and water before the print can help adhesion if you have any issues.
