Description

I am very new to 3D Designing and I am so happy to share my design with you all. I was inspired by the images and videos of the sweet anglerfish swimming to the surface of the ocean and designed this lamp to capture that moment. 🥺 Created with fusion360 and nomad sculpt.

NOTE:

Version 2 of this model has been released which fixes issues with the antenna (lantern) and fins possibly breaking. I highly recommend still using caution and holding the model by the back. However, the antenna and fins are now much thicker than version 1 and should be more resistant to any breaks.

There is an AMS and NO AMS Print profile. I HIGHLY recommend using one of the print profiles I have created as they have been thoroughly tested and confirmed working.

Assembly:

1) Insert the peg into the hole of the anglerfish. Always hold the fish model by the tail as the fins are very fragile!!!

2) Insert the anglerfish model and peg into the lamp. Adjust height as needed.

3) Insert  the LED into the top of the lamp and push the wire along the back of the lamp from top to bottom to securely hold the wire in place

4) Place top lid (cover) over LED Light

 Notes:

  • I recommend putting the peg onto the anglerfish first before placing onto the lamp. Twist the peg into the anglerfish for easier results.
  • The peg hole goes through the entire lamp so you can adjust the height of the anglerfish to your liking and to ensure you're able to get the filament out if it breaks inside the hole.
  • You will need some kind of tool to help remove supports.
  • When removing supports from the anglerfish, use extreme caution around the mouth as you can easily knock out some of the teeth.
  • When removing supports from the lamp, I found that if some of the supports got stuck in the LED holes, I simply got a screwdriver and pushed them out.

Boost MeBelow is a photo example of my design process. I thoroughly test my models throughout the entire design process. I went through multiple designs just to reach the final results and unfortunately a lot of filament is used but this ensures you all have good results when printing. If you can boost me, it's greatly appreciated as i'm able to replenish the filament used during testing phases. Thank you!

If you like the design but are not interested in printing a lamp, I have another model here:
