Description
Don't Lose Your Head in a Duel!
This is a super fun RC bumper car designed for Cyberbrick, featuring a unique ejector mechanism that launches the driver’s head when the car is hit on the side. I've implemented a drive and steering system just like in real bumper cars. The single drive wheel also handles steering, allowing you to drive in reverse simply by steering. The biggest challenge was fitting all the electronic components into a rotating housing—but it turned out great!
It’s easy to drive, but tricky to master. You'll definitely need some practice, as things can get chaotic! The best part? Challenging one or more friends to a “last man standing” bumper car duel. It makes for a fantastic party game! 🎉
Prefer a More Controlled Drive?
If you’re not a fan of the chaotic bumper car-style steering, there’s also an option for a easier controllable method to use a 180° servo! For more details, see “Servo alternative” below.
Maker Supply Info:
You have the option to buy the “Duel Bumper Car Kit” B-ZH096 Kit which contains all needed parts for 2 cars and 2 remotes.
Duel Bumper Car Kit - ZH096 includes:
If you use the Ultimate Kit you get all parts for 2 cars and 2 remotes. Just 2x 2mm dowel pins and a set of tires are missing.
Disclaimer: This model is compatible with the Cyberbrick kit. The kit includes various non-printed parts to accommodate multiple popular models. As a result, some parts may not be necessary for this specific model. If you only need to purchase the non-printed parts required for this model, please have a look in the assembly guide with a detailed part list before purchase.
In addition to the Cyberbrick Kit, you’ll need one 2x13 pin.
All other parts are included in the Cyberbrick kit.
Please check the BOM (Bill of Materials) for exact details and to order from Maker Supply if needed.
Assembly is straightforward. A detailed Assembly Guide (PDF) with step-by-step pictures is provided at the end.
Charging:
2-Way Switch → Starts a random driven chaos bot for ~2min
The 360° continuous rotation servo (PG002) was chosen to replicate authentic bumper car movement, including reverse driving. However, if you prefer simpler handling, a 180° servo (PG001) can be used instead. A compatible configuration file (Bumper Car 180) is available, featuring reversed motor direction and increased speed. The 180° servo option is ideal for younger kids, while the 360° servo offers more of a challenge for advanced drivers.
Technical Details
I designed a custom gearbox for the small DC motor using a 1:48 reduction kit, but only 3 of the 5 gears are used, resulting in a gear ratio of approximately 1:10,83. I’ve also added some basic programming to enable three speed levels to choose (40%, 52%, and 64%), which can be changed using the 3-way switch. The boost button increases speed by 70.
You can adjust these values in the Cyberbrick app if you'd like a faster drive. For beginners, the slowest speed is perfect to start with.

Chaos Bot
I implemented an chaos bot with some random drive functions. You can start the bot with the 2-way switch (up direction). It should drive ~2min before it stops. You can stop at any time with the push button, 3-way switch or the 2-way (down direction).
Happy Printing! Thanks for any download, like, follow, comment and boost.
I am very happy about your support, that is the motivation to create more models!
Whats next?
I planned to provide some more body and head designs.
