🛠️ Customization

This model is completely parametric, as it is impossible to design a model that fits all cables. Below is an explanation of how to adapt the model to your cable.

First, measure the thickness of your cable and modify the ‘Cable_Slot’ parameter (it is recommended to add 1 mm to the thickness of the cable).

For 1M cables, a ‘Loop_Count’ parameter of 4 is recommended.

Next, print the piece and try to insert the cable, measure how much longer or shorter the cable is, and use the following formula to calculate the new radius:

R_new = R_old + (L) / (32 + 8*pi)

Where L is positive if the cable is too long and negative if the cable is too short.

For example, if the cable exceeds the 56mm slot and R_old = 17.35mm, the new radius will be R_new = 18.33mm.

If, on the other hand, the cable does not reach the 56mm slot, the new radius will be R_new = 16.37mm.

Repeat this process until you achieve a perfect fit.
