Description

After downloading and printing several ESP32 enclosures that either didn’t fit my boards or had other shortcomings, I decided to design my own. This enclosure is built specifically for ESP32-WROOM-32 boards measuring 28.8 mm × 51.4 mm, but it’s fully parametric, so you can easily customize it to match your board’s exact dimensions. The design focuses on secure fit, easy access, and efficient airflow—perfect for desktop projects, sensor nodes, or prototyping setups.

Features

  • Slide-on snap lid — easy to open, yet holds securely.
  • Press-through buttons — operate the onboard reset and boot buttons without removing the lid.
  • Full ventilation — openings on the top, bottom, front, and back to help with heat dissipation.
  • Board retention notches — keep your ESP32 firmly in place (no rattling inside).
  • Compact footprint — only 33.2 × 55.8 × 11.6 mm overall.

Customizer Parameters

ParameterDescription
espWidthWidth of your ESP32 board (tolerance automatically applied).
espLengthLength of your ESP32 board (tolerance automatically applied).
baseHeightDistance from the bottom of your ESP32 to the base of the enclosure — useful if you’re using headers/pins. For example, I use 3.6 mm when I’ve trimmed the pins.
