Description
I was tired of flimsy, hard-to-print IKEA Skadis hooks that require complex measuring to integrate into my own designs or which burst just by looking at them. The Quick Mount Hooks connector adapter is designed to provide a solid, incredibly easy-to-use mounting standard for your custom organizers, shelves, and containers.
I focused on structural integrity and ease of integration. You don't need to worry about the exact dimensions of the hooks themselves—simply use the provided oversized negative volume (cutout) in your design software or slicer, and you will get a perfect fit every time.
Effortless Assembly: Do not install the hooks onto the container first! Simply insert the hooks directly into the Skadis board, and then slide your custom accessory smoothly down onto them.
These hooks are optimized for rapid, bulk printing without sacrificing structural integrity. Even when printing a full batch, they use minimal filament and print in no time.
Estimated Print Time & Material (Batch of 10 hooks):
To achieve the best structural integrity, I highly recommend printing the hooks entirely out of walls/perimeters with no standard infill. Simply increase the number of wall loops in your slicer (e.g., set to 6 or more) until the entire model consists of solid walls. This guarantees maximum shear strength for heavy accessories.
To get you started immediately, I’ve included a fully parametric rectangular bin generator.

If you are using the negative volumes to create your own accessories, follow these simple tolerances:
Back Wall Thickness: Recommended 6.00mm (this perfectly leaves 0.8mm of clearance behind the mount for a flush finish).
Top Clearance (Ceiling): Leave a minimum of 2.00mm above the mounting pocket to allow the part to slide down onto the hook.
The following values represent the minimum back wall cutout height required so that both the top and bottom of the mount fully support your element:
Note: Your pocket can technically be shorter if necessary, as the upper section provides the primary load-bearing support. You can also use the hooks interchangeably depending on the length of your available mounting space.
