Description
My nerd collective was bringing in a few new players and needed a simple way to keep track of what was happening during games. These were designed to make the state of play clearer at a glance without cluttering the table.
This is a vertical token system rather than flat markers. Each token stands upright so it is easy to see across the board, even mid game.
Each token is 80mm tall and designed to print in two parts. The top section presses firmly into the base, and a 3x10mm magnet slots into the underside. The request was to design these as a zero glue solution, so it's tight. Once assembled, everything holds securely but can still be pulled apart if needed for transport. If you experience issues with the magnet on the underside, please let me know and I can release a lower tolerance design. But there this is a .1mm tolerance to hold the magnet in place, tested on my A1, P1S, X1C, H1S and H2D the tolerance was ok.
The goal here was something quick to print, low cost and easy to scale if you need a full set. As the two colours are seperated by layer, there is no need for an AMS. They print fast, use minimal material and are easy to reproduce in batches.
Included are the tokens I was originally asked to make.
- If you want to customise your own, you can edit the text directly in Bambu Studio by selecting the text object in the Objects tab.
- I'm also happy to design some up around your army (faction army emblem on rear, etc) or if you'd like me to customize the text.
Key Features
These have already been well received locally and are a solid upgrade over traditional flat tokens if you want something more visible and easier to manage during play. The colours can also be customized to match your army colour.
