Lightweight dry box for filament

Nice, small dry box that is used to store filament in. This model is out there to reduce the amount of filament needed to make a dry box. The small slot in the middle on the bottom piece is for storing desiccant in to further reduce the amount of moisture in there.

 

Very easy to assemble. Print the bottom out, then the top, then print the gasket out of TPU (The TPU gasket will be a snug fit inside the bottom and the top part of the holder) and then press together, just remember to throw in a spool of filament in there too! :)

 

It's designed to be a press fit but also added screw holes if you need them. I've printed 3 already and not needed any screws in mine. The TPU gasket makes this air tight and also ensures that there is no need for the screws.

 

If you do need or want the screws then I've designed it with M3 x 16 in mind. You can go 16mm and up but nothing smaller than 16 or you'll struggle to get a nut on the other end. As mentioned though you do not need these screws as it was designed with a press fit in mind.
