This hanging wind spinner is built up of as many vanes as you'd like. Just keep printing!
Design features Vanes are interlocking to maintain alignment (glue is optional). Chamfered centre channel for easy threading. These vanes have a 3 degree twist angle for a gentle curve. Printing instructions Print the vanes as oriented in the .stl file. You shouldn’t need any supports. Print as many as you like. Choose a material suitable for the outdoor application. Tip: a transparent rainbow filament makes a great effect. Installation instructions Make sure the vanes are all oriented the same way (so the grooves fit into the channels). Thread a small string or cord through the centre channel. Tie a knot at the bottom to keep it from falling off. Hang it as appropriate. You may find my Tie Wrap Screw Anchor useful. Notes Thank you to BCE_Gatien for your Vertical Wind Spinner that inspired me to make this model. Like most of my models, I've designed this with OpenSCAD and it is fully parameterized. If you would like a modification (e.g., dimensions, twist angle, etc.), just send me a message. License:
