Freefly Movi M5/M10/M15 V-Mount / Gold Mount battery plates

Model

This allows you two mount either one or two V Mount or Gold Mount plates to your Movi M5/M10/M15 replacing the annoying and dangerous LIPO pouch cells. It replaces the original battery cages and allows you to use inductry standard batteries. 

Note that the M5/M10/M15 are not that powerful and using two large batteries will overwhelm the Pan motor in some situations, using compact or mini batteries with a capacity of 50Wh or 98Wh will avoid this issue.

Parts needed

8-16 x m3 5m Dia threaded inserts
8-16 x m3 8mm shcs screws
1-2 x Battery plate (you will need to wire this yourself)

It is also reccomended to rewire the power connector to an XT30 connector.
 

Installation

(1) Install the heatset inserts into the indicated holes

(2) Dissasemble the top of your Movi M5/M10/M15 and remove the original battery cage. Replace the keyhole rod clamps with the new printed parts, the top piece is keyed so make sure it is placed on top. Screw these plates back together.

(3) Screw the battery plate spacer into the replacement keyhole rod clamp using 4x M3 screws, next screw the battery plate onto the spacer using 4x m3 screws. You will also need to rewire the gimbal so that it can be powered from these battery plates.

Installing this incorrectly could damage or destroy your gimbal if you wire the power cable incorrectly, please use common sense when installing this and double check everything before powering it on.
