UPDATE 1/21/2025: RESIZED THE COVER AND REAR BIT STRIP (tolerances were to tight when the cover was open), ADJUSTED THE BIT RETENTION DESIGN IN THE MAIN BODY & BIT STRIPS
I imagined this the first time I saw the WERA 2024 Advent Calendar, so I had to make it a reality. Only 7mm added in length to accommodate for the Metric Klein socket set, also giving the ability to add an additional bit holder for the Klein 2" Hex shaft in the front row.
The screw driver mount is designed to spin out of the way to access the 6 in 1 sockets.
I added an extra row of 9 bits to the back of the kit making this hold a total of 25 bits + ratchet, only 4 less bits than the WERA tool check Plus.
This Printed Kit is for the following Tools:
1. WERA 2024 Advent Calendar tool check
2. Klein Tools 6 in 1 impact flip socket set, Part No (32933M)
3. The 3.5" Hex shaft (to hold the sockets together in the kit)
and the 2" Hex shaft both come in this Hex shaft set, Part No (32944)
4. Any bits you feel are missing or should be replaced from the kit
I printed the kit using Overture Nylon. TPU for the screw driver ring.

UPDATE 01/21/2025
- THE BIT HOLDERS WILL NEED TO BE BROKE IN! The best way to get the bits to fit properly is to break them in. This is easily done by forcing a 2" bit in the holes using pliers/vise grips, pressing back against the back retention bump of the main body/bit strips 3 or 4 times until the bits become as hard or as easy as you would like them to be to remove by hand. Again just simply stick the bit into the bit holder a few times pressing against the back as you feel the bit passing the retention bump, only do this 3 or 4 times, the more you do this the looser the bits will become.
- Dry the filament for 6 hours plus
- Use the 3mf files load into Orca Slicer and hit print (3MF FILES ARE FOR REFRENCE ONLY).
- Wait at lest 24 hours to assemble the kit, the nylon will become more flexible after absorbing moisture. If you parts crack you assembled the parts to early. The screw driver spin peg cracked on me every time I tried to assemble the parts before waiting at least 24 hours. I haven't had one piece crack or break after waiting the curing 24hr period using Overton Black Nylon.
- Parts are tight and take some work to put together. The bit strips take a little leverage with a standard screw driver to get them in. Place the bit strip peg in the body on the support surface side so you can just slide the other side peg down into the connecting hole on the smooth side of the main body.
- Install the screw driver mount in the open position and then once its in place you can spin the screwdriver mount into the closed position. Slowly work the screwdriver mount into the side rail by slowly twisting the mount back and forth all the way down into place. Scrap off the sharp edge from the retaining peg on the main body (this is the part of the main body that sits directly on the build plate as the main body prints). The peg has a sharp edge due to being the first layer. The peg was originally designed to have a rounded edge This allows for a smooth sliding action to lock the sockets in place.
