Description
A snusdosa with a magnetic lid designed with durability and simplicity in mind. I aimed to keep it sleek, easy to print, and practical. The magnets provide a satisfying snap when the lid locks into place.
What You’ll Need
• Eight 3x2 mm magnets
Design Details
The holes for the magnets are 3.2 mm in diameter and 2.2 mm deep. These dimensions have worked reliably for me when printing with PETG. However, because 3D printing setups, materials, and settings can vary, slight adjustments may be necessary. For example, if the magnets feel loose, you can either use a small amount of glue or carefully widen the holes with a 3 mm drill bit, ensuring no debris remains.
It’s worth noting that the actual size of the magnets may sometimes differ slightly from their specifications, which is why I chose these dimensions to accommodate common variations.
Printing Tips
I designed the snusdosa with a line width of 0.45 mm in mind for optimal results.
Currently, Prusa Slicer places the seams near one of the magnet holes. If this happens to be an issue, you can adjust it by manually painting a seam.

Customization
Don’t forget to use Prusa Slicer’s SVG tool to customize your own lid design. It’s a great way to make your snusdosa truly unique!

I’ve tested this extensively, and it has performed well in my setup. If you find adjustments or tips that work better for your configuration, feel free to share them.
I hope you enjoy this design as much as I do!
