6in Lathe Chuck Soft Jaw Press

I have a set of 6in 3 and 4 jaw chucks from precision matthews.  The jaws are 20mm wide each and are pretty similar.  I suspect it will work for most chucks in that size.  the 4 jaw has 90 degree cuts and the 3 jaw has 120 so they all come together correctly.  

I included a cut template to help get the copper right to start with.  I used a metal bandsaw and 1mm thick copper sheeting.  You could go thinner, but I wouldn't want any thicker.  Use the form to fold the T shape around the individual jaw, then use a little hammer to fold the tabs over.  

I suggest printing these things pretty stout.  I used PLA, 4 layers, and about 25% infill.  I made 5 or 6 inserts for my 4 jaw and the form is still in good shape.
