Description
Filament Balancer Switch
The Filament Balancer Switch is an innovative sensor mechanism that accurately measures tension and compression on the filament during the printing process. This model stands out by utilizing two separate switches: one for detecting tension and another for measuring compression.
What makes the Filament Balancer Switch unique is the integrated spring mechanism within the switching system. This ensures that the switches only activate when the tension or compression exceeds a critical threshold, preventing unwanted activations during filament loading and unloading. Additionally, the springs eliminate unnecessary play when adjusting the Bowden tube and sensor lengths, ensuring precise calibration.
With its advanced design, the Filament Balancer Switch provides enhanced control over filament flow, contributing to a more stable and consistent 3D printing process.
Update – Improved Design Features (2025):
Repositioned Micro Switches: The micro switches have been moved slightly outward to allow smoother and more reliable slider movement.
Additional Slider: A second slider has been added to improve compatibility with thinner clips, ensuring the slider stays securely attached to the filament.
JST XH 5-Pin Connector Support: A new version now includes mounting support for JST XH 5-pin connectors, making soldering unnecessary and simplifying the wiring process.
