Description
The assembled unit is an insert in music folders. It is used to hold and organize original sheet music for singers in choirs.
The sheet music holder is made up of two parts which can easily be printed on a small print bed. They fit together with a dovetail. I glued these with gel cyanoacrylate. Mine are done in gold PLA.
The end holder part is made with TPU and is a tight fit into the music holder ends. You will need 2 of these parts.
I have included the design files in OpenSCAD if you require adjustments to fit your folder.
Open the sheet music to the middle and slide it under one or two of the stretchy strings.
Assembly
This is the elastic cord I purchased form Amazon. I used 0.7 mm diameter bracelet elastic string wound back and forth in the holes to retain the sheet music. The cord ends can be tied with a surgeon's knot.
You will need about 16 feet or 5 meters per unit. Start threading in the middle with roughtly equal lengths.
Update - April 9, 2025
You can now add a velcro handle to the outside of the folder by replacing the TPU end pieces
