Description
I was working with a constrained space on an RF rack where I needed to install a Time Machines Network Time Protocol (NTP) server, which receives its GPS signal from a connected GPS Splitter. To optimize the limited room, I designed a custom "hat" accessory that fits snugly over the larger NTP server, allowing the GPS Splitter to sit securely on top. The hat features a precisely crafted opening through which the Splitter slides, ensuring a tight and stable fit without any wobble. The design is engineered to be 3D-printed without requiring additional supports, simplifying the fabrication process. For successful printing, be sure to invert the model—flipping it upside down—before slicing it in your 3D printing software!
