Description
Introduction:Â
I've recently fallen in love with the iconic Broyhill Brasilia furniture line. However, original pieces (and even replicas) are hard to find and extremely expensive. My goal with this design was to channel that mid-century design language into something more accessible and affordable. This is my scale interpretation of a round Brasilia side table. This model is easy to print and very strong.Â
Non-Printed Parts:Â
Printing Instructions:Â
In the file downloads section you will find STEP files for three sizes: 6in, 8in, and 10in. Each of these contains the table top and two legs. The size dimensions refer to the overall height and width of the stand once assembled.Â
To give a premium feel and make this model feel more like something made of wood, I printed with 6 walls and 30% gyroid infill. However, you could easily get away with printing with 3 walls and 15% infill if you'd like to save the material. A minimum of 3 walls is recommend to ensure proper function of the threaded inserts. There are no other critical print settings needed for this model.Â
Assembly Instructions:Â
Once printed, use a soldering iron or other tool to insert the four M4 threaded inserts into each of the four holes on the bottom of the table top.Â
Fit each of the legs into the table top and secure them with the four M4 x 10mm screws. If desired place four 6mm x 2mm rubber feet on the corresponding indentations on the bottoms of the legs.Â
