Description

After designing a standard body cap for the Pentax auto 110, a pinhole mod was suggested, and I loved the idea, so I made the necessary changes/tweaks and this is the result! Lots of fun to experiment with.

There is an alignment dot, so you know the position to start when placing this on the body, so keep a look out for it and, if you feel like going the extra mile, put a dab of paint in there! I did, and it works great and is super east to see.

Obviously this being offered for download so that people can print them for themselves (if you do, please let me know!), but if you would like me to print them for you, I'd be happy to for a reasonable price. Just message or email me.

Obviously the hole in this body cap is quite big. Too big to be an actual (good) pinhole for photography. That hole, and the recessed area, are housing for an actual laser-cut pinhole disc, which will give much better images. I currently have a couple pinhole discs being mailed to me and after I've had a chance to test them out, I'll update this project with then installed into the cap, and maybe provide some links to the pinhole discs too.

To see actual prints of my design, check out the “Makes” tab (I print basically everything I design.)

POST PRINTING
------------------------------
After printing, there is a "support" disc on the face that needs to be carefully removed to expose the recessed pinhole area. BE CAREFUL removing it! Not for the print's sake, but for personal safety. I stupidly used a sharp knife to get under the support, and ended up cutting myself quite a few times. Don't do that LOL. I would actually suggest getting something like an allen wrench and applying forward pressure through the hole in the cap, which should pop the support out nicely (and safely).
