Hamster wheel with bearing

Silent hamster wheel 190mm diameter with mounts (screwed directly to the cage).

• added hamster wheel with 215mm diameter and modified version wheel nut (models names wheel 215 and wheel nut 215)
• modified models for better works and little improvements - new version all model with v2 name

Bill of materials:

• 1 pcs bearing type 608 ( 22 x 7 x 8)
• 1 pcs hexagonal M8 screw - 60mm length or more
• 4 pcs hexagonal M6 screws - 15 mm length or more
• 1 pcs M8 nut 
• 1 pcs M8 self locking nut 
• 4 pcs M6 nuts

… and all printed parts :)

I have divided all the parts separately and grouped for the best printing result in 3 different layer heights.

You can print all parts as you want :)

Recommended print settings for small parts:

• layer height - 0,2
• 2 perimeters
• infill 25% grid or 20% gyroid
• material PLA

Recommended print setting for cage mounts and bearing holder:

• layer height - 0,25
• 3 perimeters
• infill 25% grid or 20% gyroid
• material PLA

Wheel recommended print settings:

• layer height - 0,3
• 3 perimeters
• infill 25% grid or 20% gyroid
• material PLA

*TIP - You need support on the build plate for 2 parts:

• bearing_nut
• cage_mounts

I printed wheel with “fuzzy skin” option added to external walls and some nuts for cage holders (look pictures what I uploaded).

Assembly 

Process is very easy and you need only flat wrench no 13 and 10. Additionally you can use some washer for bolts M6 and M8 for easier plug nuts to sockets.

Look on the pictures what I add. Only you need a small gap/space (5 mm) between back side of the hamster wheel after “wheel_nut” before self locking nut.

Use the flat wrench when tightening the hamster wheel to the cage so that the nut does not tighten too close to the wheel and that's all.

* TIP - The wheel can be mounted horizontally or vertically to the hamster cage (checked on my own cage).
