Air Schlappen

This is an experimental 3D-print prototype of a flip-flop sandal featuring an organic lattice sole and a smoothly contoured thong strap. It’s ideal as a decorative showcase or to test flexibility and comfort.

Print Settings

Status: Untested prototype (test model)

Recommended Material:

TPU for flexibility and wearability

PLA if you only need a decorative piece

Layer Height: 0.20 mm

Infill: 20 % (or up to 100 % with TPU for extra strength)

Supports: Minimal, only under the sole if necessary

Bed Temperature:

TPU: 50 °C

PLA: 60 °C

Print Speed: 30–40 mm/s

Sizing

STL files are scaled to EU size 41.

Usage & Decoration

Decorative: Use colored TPU filament or apply resin paint for a unique look.

Functional: Flexible TPU prints can handle light outdoor use (poolside, casual strolls).

Finishing Tips: Lightly sand edges and reinforce stress points with flexible adhesive to prevent cracking.
