I recently migrated to Home Assistant, and after discovering the Voice Assistant possibilities, i designed this case to nicely package a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W with a Keyestudios ReSpeaker 2-mic Hat and a 3W speaker.
The idea behind the offset lid is to be able to wrap the lid in thick mesh fabric to make it look nicer, while still allowing for sound to make it to the microphones and of course out from the speaker.
Bill of Materials:
To mount all the parts, you will also need:
- 3x M3x20 socket head cap screws (for the case and lid)
- 2x M2x6 or M2x8 screws to mount the speaker
- 4x M2.5x5 screws to mount the Pi stack
- 4x M2.5x11 standoffs between the Pi and the ReSpeaker hat
- 4x M2.5x5 standoffs below the Pi
- 3x M3x4x5 heat-set threaded inserts ("Voron-style")
Notes:
- Even though the Case & Lid models are not likely to change anymore, this is still missing a diffusor / button part to enable muting the microphone (press to toggle) and shutting down the Pi (hold for e.g. >5s to shut down) - but the Case & Lid should not change anymore.
- I'll also try with a second layer of fabric to hide the internals a bit more.
- And lastly a template for cutting the mesh fabric.
