The IKEA UTAKA stacking bed is originally designed for very thin mattresses. If you use thicker mattresses, the two bed frames will no longer fit together properly.

This simple extension adapter solves the problem:

Print four adapters and attach them to the frame.

With the adapters in place, the two UTAKA bed frames can be stacked even when using thicker mattresses.

Easy to print and install, no additional hardware required.
