Description
Sometimes, wearing a headlamp on your head can be a challenge, for example during rain or fog or when using a hat. An alternative is to wear the headlamp around your neck. But this can be uncomfortable and wobbly with most original holders.
This simple plate was designed to use the clamping part of the Skilhunt HB3 headlamp mount. Not only is it a great mount by itself, it is also easy to take apart and to design a compatible bracket for your specific headlamp yourself. User Spicy3d has uploaded a few examples, if you need inspiration.
All you need to do is printing the plate, insert the clamp of the HB3 mount (might need some force, but be careful to not break it – you can remove some material from the plate where the hooks engage). Use paracord to create an adjustable strap – friction should be enough to hold it in place. I added a weak link in the middle to prevent accidental strangulation.
FreeCAD file is included if you like to modify the model.
