This is the latest Version 3 of the AYN Thor console-style desktop dock, designed to integrate the ACASIS 6-in-1 10Gbps USB-C Hub with 4K 60Hz HDMI and 100W PD.
Version 3 introduces improved cable routing and cleaner aesthetics by adding a USB-C 90-degree extension cable for the best docking experience.

Description:

This is a custom 3D printed docking station mount/stand made for the AYN Thor handheld gaming system.
The rear compartment securely holds the ACASIS USB-C 6-in-1 hub (the common 10Gbps model with 4K 60Hz HDMI, 100W PD passthrough, USB-A 3.2 ports, and USB-C data).

Version 3 supports the use of a 20Gb USB-C 3.2 Gen2 90-degree male-to-female extension cable. While technically overkill—because the ACASIS hub itself only provides 10Gbps, it still offers real benefits:
• ensures maximum signal stability
• allows a cleaner, sharper appearance
• provides an easier docking point with less port wear
• maintains full access to the Thor’s power and volume buttons

Once installed, your Thor works like a living room console:

• Plug in the USB-C port & place your unit onto the dock
• Connect HDMI to a TV or monitor
• Plug in power through the PD port
• Connect controllers, keyboards, or storage using the USB ports or Bluetooth controller

Printing Instructions:

Printer size needed: 220 × 220 × 250 or larger.
Fits smaller beds when rotated diagonally.

Materials:
PLA works well for everyday use
PETG recommended for higher heat
ABS or ASA for maximum strength

Settings:
Layer height 0.16–0.2 mm
Two or three perimeters
Print the part with at least 15% infill
No supports
Estimated print time: 6–9 hours

Assembly and Installation:

Slide the ACASIS hub into the rear cavity until fully seated.
Route the USB-C pigtail through the base channel.

If using the Version 3 extension cable, plug the 90-degree male end into the Thor and route the female end (with a loop) to the docking point at the side. This reduces strain on the handheld’s USB-C port and makes daily docking easier and cleaner.

Connect HDMI, power, and any USB accessories.
Place the AYN Thor into the dock and enjoy console mode on your display.

Recommended Foam Tape:

Thin foam tape (1/2″ × 1/16″) is recommended for protective padding.
Provides a secure, professional fit and protects the Thor from scratches.

How to Use the Foam Tape:

Cut strips to match the indented areas.
Peel the backing and apply carefully, keeping the strips straight and even.
