Description
Welcome back guys!
I made this model a whole while ago and decided to release it now! It's the longest 3d printed sword I have seen, its 2,15m long!
This is a model just for fun to show of. The retracting blade is extremely thin (1 layer for each part) and the enorm length makes it very fragile. Every hit, drop or even a to strong/hectic swing may break it. So please don't comment & rate like “bad model, breaks to easily”
yes the blade is not stiff but very wiggly, due to its enormous length and thin walls of the pieces.
make sure to retract the sword carefully one piece by one piece. It's to long to just stab it back into place.
due to it's length it is NOT suitable for small printers.
I highly recommend Bambu Silk PLA+ for the blade, or PETG.
please read the print instruction below and always make sure your bed is perfectly clean. Use glue or super tack plate for perfect bed adhesion.
The printing is pretty straight forward:
first plate the handle, 3 colors silver, brown, blue/purple (of course you can print one color)
second plate is the blade only. I highly recommend printing the blades on a single plate with no other parts around. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE BEST BED ADHESION! (Clean your plate, use SUPER TACK). The blades are stuck into each other but of course you could print the seperately
third plate contains the pommel with 2 colors, just press fit it on the hilt after inserting the blade parts.
