Snapmaker U1 Top Cover with Vent Opening for IKEA Samla and Walmart Sterilite v4

This is an adapter for the Snapmaker U1 to use an IKEA Samla 45L box or a Walmart Sterlite 55L/58qt box as a top cover. It is meant to be a simple but very functional design. You can slide your box back for ventilation. No need to remove the cover or open the door when printing PLA. It is compatible with Panda Breath if you want an active heated build chamber. Additionally it has options for a camera mount and side mounting accessories like extra spool holders or tool holders. I designed it for easy and fast printing and assembly.

UPDATE v4 20260409: In this update I added an option for a camera mount. The mounting system itself can be found in the list of addons and accessories.

Parts:
I made one 3mf file with all parts for the IKEA box and one with all parts for the Walmart box. These are the parts included:
1x all 8 parts of the frame
2x hooks
2x accessory covers
2x plugs for the cable channels in the back
1x plug for the Panda Breath cable channel
1x plug for the camera mounting system
6x blocks (IKEA or Walmart)
6x dummy plugs (no-Walmart or no-IKEA)

I also made a 3mf file with only the updated parts if you already have version 3 of the adapter and you want to update to v4. It is the same for IKEA and Walmart.

There is also one 3mf file if you want to add a label to the frame. It uses/covers the hole in the front right. (If you are planning to add a front USB port use the labels provided with the addon!)

Printing:
Use the filament of your choice. PLA could be problematic with 60°C chamber temperature. Other filament types like ASA might shrink and you have to compensate for that. PETG should be OK and easy to print. I had problems with underextrusion when using the SnOrca generic PETG profile. Might only be a problem with the filament I used. Just test your profiles first or you might have problems with the tolerances.
Depending on your filament choice you might need a brim or mouse ears.
Support is not required.
The labels are meant to be multi color prints. I added a "U1" to one of the short labels as an example. Just choose one of the labels and use the text tool with "Operation" -> "Modifier". After writing and positioning your text (name of printer, IP-address, ...) you can change the filament for this modifier.


Assembly:
Please take a look at all the pictures first! The blocks and dummy plugs for the IKEA and Walmart boxes are coded (one or two dents) to fit only in the right spots. There are holes in the dummy plugs, the accessory covers and the cable channel plugs to remove them with the help of wood screws if needed. The frame should be a nice press fit and no glue is required.
