Description
This is an improved (,yet kind of experimental) version of the Flat-Edged AirPods Pro (2) Case.
Because of different printer calibrations and flow factors, the printed parts might not fit perfectly. If the case is hard to put on, don't use too much force to insert the AirPods! The case might get stuck. In that case reprint the part with 100,5 % scale and try again.
lid stays on more reliably
dosen't need any supports while keeping smooth round edges
more interesting design
in the orientation uploaded without supports
0,15 mm - 0,10 mm layer height
no birm (unless you have bed adhesion issues)
only tested with 0,4 mm nozzles
The case is designed to be printed in a rigid material like PLA. Others might work as well but that's the only one I've tried.
Note that your printer should have decent part cooling capabilities since the print features overhangs greater than 45° and some bridging.
I would love to know what you think about the new design. Do you prefer the more traditional cases, or should I make this kind of case for the other AirPods too.
