Hitron CODA-5610Q cable modem wall mount bracket

This bracket allows you to secure a Hitron CODA-5610Q cable modem to a wall. This is one of the modems used by Fizz in Quebec.

Design features

The bottom bracket is in two pieces to save material, and each side (left & right) has a short and long version. You can use either at each end, but I designed the short version so that the bottom label with serial number and passwords is easily visible while the modem is mounted.

The bracket includes a cutout at the end so the modem status LED is visible. An optional top bracket secures the modem in place.

Mounting is done with #6 or #8 countersunk wood screws (North American standard); the screw will rest about 1" inside the model, so choose your screw length based on how it will be mounted on the wall. (I used 1.5" screws for plywood.)

Printing and assembly tips

• Choose the right brackets for each side (long or short)

• Print the models as oriented in the .stl files, using an appropriate material.

• The bottom bracket screw holes are 130mm apart horizontally, and 25mm apart vertically.

• Carefully mark, pre-drill, or otherwise prepare the mounting surface to accept the screws.

• Carefully screw the bracket into the wall using #6 or #8 countersunk wood screws.

• The modem will now rest on the bracket.

• Optionally add the top bracket.

Notes

• I've designed the model with OpenSCAD and can adapt it within a certain range if you need.

• The top bracket can be left slightly loose so you can easily rotate it and remove the modem without a screwdriver.
