Description
I realize this is an incredibly niche model that not many people will need or want to print, but I needed it and also wanted to share my work.
Google deemed the Pixelbook EoL a few years after I got it. With their OS being clunky, in my opinion, everything being locked down by Google and having Google integrations everywhere, and the device no longer even getting support from Google, I decided to wipe their OS an put Ubuntu on it so I can keep using this device and not have made a $1400 mistake buying it.
Well, when I recently decided to boot it up and go through all the steps to get a different OS on it, I managed to break one of the backings on the bottom rubber pads in the last few inches of peeling it off. 3D printers, once again, to the rescue.
Unfortunately, my printbed was too small to print the large bottom pad in one go, so I needed to split it in half and put the two halves on, but I don't think it looks too bad. You might want to split the full model in some different ways and print it out of different colors to add some accents and make the seams appear intentional. I just went with a solid Prusa orange color.
(TPU/TPE might be a better material to print this out of)
