Description
The Amazfit Bip 6 uses a small magnetic USB-C charging adapter that clips onto the back of the watch. Unfortunately the magnet is fairly weak, so the charger can easily shift if the watch moves or if the cable pulls slightly on the adapter.
Many existing charging solutions are upright display stands. While they work, they take up desk space, the cable sticks out to the side, and the stand mostly sits around unused since the watch only needs charging occasionally. In addition, many of those designs with overhangs or curved surfaces are not very print-friendly and require support.
This model takes a different approach: thanks to the hinge, all parts are printed flat on the build plate, making the model easy to print without supports and also very convenient to store when not in use.
The watch body fits precisely into the cradle, while a folding rear flap holds the USB charging adapter and positions it exactly on the charging contacts. After charging, the flap folds back down so the cradle becomes flat and easy to store or take along when traveling.
The small charging adapter also stays inside the cradle, reducing the chance of losing it.
