Description
This is a bust form statue of Lord Ram of ancient Vedic/Hindu religion and mythology. The original picture has a haloed crown, but the models themselves have a half-crown halo since I found that more compelling and it allowed me to create a larger print on my limited bed. I printed on a Mars 5 Ultra resin printer from Elegoo, but it should work fine with a filament printer given adequate supports. Printed with 20% infill and 2mm hollow, 2 3.5mm holes in the back (if the model you choose doesn't have supports already, you'll need to dig holes as well). One of them should already have an integrated platform. Jai Shree Ram I suppose. Enjoy...
Note: I created the base so that the statue sits back slightly when put on a flat platform. No additional supports or holds are required, but I did this for a few reasons. Most Hindus have a personal temple, and setting the platform at that angle makes the statue look up towards them when in prayer. Additionally, those using it simply as a desktop ornament will find that at arms length when one is seated the statue looks directly at you, completely changing the experience.
