Description
300mm 8mm High Tensile Steel Rods x4 (These can be adjusted to your needs. Ideally, use 2 lengths of 600mm. Alternatively, use 2 lengths of 450mm for a low profile rig)
Intended for use with 15mm camera tubing (tapped with M12 at each end) I personally used their 300mm length. If you want to use different tubing for a different system, .STEP files are provided below for your editing
This design is meant to be removable from your camera rig easily. Simply pull out the front and back rod assembly. The long C-profile spacers and end screw caps can be left in your rig for later. This design is also easily adjustable, to accomodate for different focal lengths (the camera rig can slide forward on the rods to make sure a wide angle lens doesn't see the handles)
designed for 15mm tubing, 60mm apart. (LWS system)
Ergonomic handles improve comfort and reduce slipping with sweaty hands. The shallow angles also create texture from layer lines, increasing friction and improving comfort. I suggest printing these handles with TPU 68D with 2-3 walls, and 15% gyroid infill
The back TPU pad should also be printed with these same settings.
If you are printing from a softer TPU, increase the wall count to 3 or 4 and use 20% infill.
soft TPU handle demonstration (pressing fairly hard)
The yellow (ABS) parts should be printed to be as strong as possible. ~6 walls with 40% grid infill
If your rod doesn't perfectly press-fit into the prints, Drill them out with an 8MM drill bit. Some printers may not have the best internal seam, causing too much friction.
