Kanabo - extending Giant Club

Are you a grow-er, not a show-er? It's a bit cold out there, huh? REAL cold, I hear.

Well this is one giant collapsible beat-stick that WON'T leave you hanging. It can extend, collapse, uh... well that's about it, but it looks sick as hell! Isn't that what 3D printing is all about???

This print uses approximately 600 - 700g filament total and takes about 12 hours of printing on a decently fast printer - most of which can't be printed separately.

Print Settings

• PETG highly recommended. PLA will work, but you must treat it extra carefully.

• NO supports needed - completely print-in-place and assembled by hand (you cannot print separately and join it later, the towers MUST be printed in one piece)

• Everything is oriented correctly for printing.

• 0.3mm layer height highly recommended - Not just for time saving, but also the rougher layers will help the segments lock hard into place. This is a rare case where you actually want rougher layer lines, as this model doesn't "lock" as hard as collapsible swords do.

• 3 walls - mace section

• 5+ walls - handle section and spiral connector (I am not kidding, it will snap in half from the force of swings, even in PETG. Ask me how I know)

• Any setting that helps overhangs or reduces surface blemishes will help you greatly.

Assembly

Everything assembles by hand:

• The spiral connector screws the mace to the handle.

• The lid pushes into tightly into place and locks in.

• Choose one lid style, flat or high top.

• Extra spiral connectors with different clearances are included (standard is 0.14mm)

NOTE: Please for the love of Ogre God; use glue to fix the lid and handle (not the towers) - this is NOT necessary to assemble it, it's to really fix it in place. Trust me when I say that swinging a 600g+ shrieking spike club held together with nothing but friction will cause things to fly off violently. At LEAST glue the lid on if you really want to keep the handle detachable.

Warning

During testing I found it incredibly loud, dangerous and metal as f*ck. Please try to swing it slowly sideways (not overhead swing) and use follow-through with your swings to get the most out of your extending action without breaking it, and everything around you in the process.

Don't come to a hard "stop" after a swing because the lever action is huge and focused right on the handle where you hold it, snapping it cleanly even in PETG.

After snapping the handle once already from an overhead strike, this is my recommended method to unsheathe the club:

You need to really make use of centrifugal force to get a clean unsheathing that locks hard.
