TPU Heel Protector

I made this because the inside heel area of my sneakers always wore out too quickly. Once the fabric starts tearing, the harder material underneath starts rubbing against the back of the heel and becomes uncomfortable very fast.

This TPU heel protector helps with both problems:

• protects the inside heel fabric from further wear

• covers damaged areas with a soft, flexible surface

• reduces friction and irritation on the back of the heel

• removable and reusable on different pairs of shoes

I personally print it in TPU 85A because it feels softer and more comfortable, but TPU 95A also works very well if you prefer something slightly firmer and easier to print.

Size Reference

This model was designed using my own shoe size as reference:

• EU: 42.5

• US Men: 9

• US Women: 10.5

• UK: 8.5

If your shoes are larger or smaller, I recommend printing one test piece first and adjusting the scale slightly in your slicer if needed.
In most cases, small changes on the X, Y, or Z axis are enough to get a perfect fit depending on the shape and size of the shoe.

Print Settings

• Material: TPU 85A or TPU 95A

• No supports needed

• Slow print speed recommended for flexible filament (around 20–35 mm/s)

Print time is relatively short depending on the size.

Installation is simple: just slide or clip it into the heel area of the shoe. No glue or sewing required.
