Description
I got tired of my capacitive sensor (same as Prusa, 8mm diameter and 2mm distance range): it had to be super close to the same height as the nozzle, which led to ripping off things that didn't stick well for some reason. Furthermore, I like bedleveling while heating, so filament blobs can cause collisions and miscalibration.
I bought a new sensor with a distance range of 8mm(!), but it is 18mm in diameter (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B071FTP2ZP/ref=pe_3044161_189395811_TE_SCE_dp_1?pldnSite=1). I designed this holder to fit it snuggly into the weird corner of the Geeetech i3 print head and fixed with one of the aluminium heatsink screws.
The design could of course be adapted to other sensor diameters or whatever you want to attach!
