Description

I have a Google Home mini that seems to be hard of hearing. No mater what I did it would hardly ever respond on the first "Hey Google", in fact the one down the hall several rooms away usually heard me better than the one I was 5 feet from in the same room. I decided to make an old fashioned horn hearing aid for it. I designed this neat horn to put it in to amplify what I said to it so it would work better. It didn't work well for that, but the upshot is that it made a dramatic difference in the volume of the output. This thing made it VERY loud. Now I can listen to it at a low volume and still hear it. I then created a ball joint and stand to hold it.

All you need to do is assemble it, put route the cord through the holes and put the Google Home Mini inside.

This is the MK1 version. I have already designed MK2 and am printing it as I write this.

I call it a Google Homeophone which is a combination of Google Home and Gramophone and sounds like Homophone which in this case is fitting, because it is one.

Update 2-24-2019

I created a static stand and back to combat the ED problems that the ball mount seems to suffer

I put it as a remix

Infill:

5 for the horn 30 for the stand and 100 for the backplate

Notes:

print all parts flat side down and if you want better quality you can print it in .1 or .2, but it will take forever to print

Post-Printing =============

After printing you will need screws that fit through 5mm and 6mm holes.. I used #8 machine screws for this (being in thankfully nonmetric land) the back plate has 6 screws anout 1/2" long and the ball joint has one at an inch. A wing nut would be nice to tighten the ball joint screw.
