Description
Second part of my Stony Cave A set for the OpenForge 2.0 system. I've avoided added explicit grid-markers to help ensure that the realistic and natural vibe of a cavern is maintained, but the edge of each of the floor pieces has a reliable midlevel, so that they can be attached together modularly.
This is a work in progress for the time being, as I put together the full variety of walls - several variations on each size so that you can have some variation in your caves! Unlike Cut-stone or other set elements, caves are natural and hence irregular, so having variety in shapes is helpful in selling the ‘realism’ of a cave system.
I'm planning to build out a full set in this style, including walls, corners, stalactites/stalagmites, hallways, doors, etc.

I strongly urge you to check out @devonjones's work if you haven't already. I'm just adding to the options of this great system to increase flexibility :)
I've designed these tiles to work with the OpenForge system, so I'd advise following the standard process for printing and mounting these on bases that match the indicated size of the pieces you print.
I love working with Blender for modeling, and I've been working on creating detailed procedural displacement textures to use for 3D printing. My plan is to generate the textures for this entire Cave System, such that I can imitate the natural patterns/structure of real caves. If this works well, I might make a second cave set with a different style/type of stone.

All 3x wall segments are now up to date - bringing ALL pieces in this set up to standard and done! I'll be moving on to other parts of the stony cave set from here :)

All 1x wall segments are now up to date, each with 3 variations! All wall sections in this folder have a wall along the 1-segment width, and the second dimension is the non-wall length.

All 2x wall segments are now up to date, each with 4 variations. All wall sections in this folder have a wall along the 2-segment width, and the other dimension is the non-wall length.

Updated all 2x2 wall segments in the 2x folder with more detail - they're now in a place where I'm happy with them. All of the photographs of printed walls are of the new 2x2s. There are four different 2x2 walls to provide variation to your caves, as you can see in a few of the included photos. I'll be updating all other wall models to align with this new level of detail and design language - so stay tuned!
