Description
Redesigned to print on a Prusa MK3S+ with layer height 0.2. Used 3mm cubic magnets. The fit is a bit tight by design so that no glue is needed to keep the magnets in.
Found the best way to inset the magnets was to use needle-nose pliers to place the first 2 magnets. MAKE SURE THE POLARITY IS REVERSED BETWEEN THE TWO MAGNETS ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE HEX. Then use the first two magnets you inserted to hold two more magnets and push two hexes together (side to side) to force the magnets into the empty holes of the other hex. Then repeat this process till all the magnets are inserted. If you can't push them in all the way then just get it started this way and use the pliers to set them the rest of the way.
Printer with solid layers (top and bottom) of 3 and 10% infill to save time while printing. They are plenty strong enough this way for their intended use.
