Parametric Double Twist Vase

Set the bottom and top size, height, number of sides and number of twists and print it!

The customizable parameters in the model are:

• BottomDiameter: diameter of a circle inscribed on the bottom face
• TopDiameter:  diameter of a circle inscribed on the top of the vase
• Height: total height of the vase
• NumberSides: number of sides of the base polygon

• Twist_1: how many sides the vase twists to the right
• Twist_2: how many sides the vase twists to the left

• Thickness: wall thickness
• BottomThickness: this one is pretty self-explanatory, right?

Important: because of how the math works in the model, it's not possible to make the bottom and the top the same sizes. If you want, you can set one of them 0.1mm larger than the other.

It might take a considerable amount of time for Fusion to update the model, once you change the parameters. I have found it is faster if you roll the history marker to before the two last operations. After you changed the parameters, you can roll the marker back and get your vase or export it solid and print in vase mode.

Fusion 360 is free for hobby use but if you don't have access to it, leave a comment with the parameters you desire and can upload an STL for you.
