Description
Recreation of the Lightsaber of Lily Tora-Asi from Star Wars: The High Republic: Edge of Balance with a collapsing blade.
Update (2022-09-01): Added illumination
There is a version which can be illuminated with an EDC01 Mini Flashlight.
The hilt is split into parts according to their color - gold, silver, black, gray and any. (any means that the part is not visible from the outside and that the color is irrelevant.)These parts are split into three groups: A,B,C.
A is the top half of the hilt. You will always need A.
B is the bottom half of the hilt with space for a flashlight. You will only need B if you want to use a flashlight. It is designed specifically for an EDC01 flashlight. Other flashlights probably won't fit
C is the bottom half without space for a flashlight. You will only need C if you do not want to use a flashlight. C is 24mm shorter than B.
The parts within each group are numbered from top to bottom.
Alternatively there is also a version which is split into two parts only: “lightsaber-lily_tora-asi_hilt” and “lightsaber-lily_tora-asi_cap”.
The full, unsplit model (without space for a blade) is “lightsaber-lily_tora-asi”.
The parts of the hilt can be printed at 0.2mm layer height with supports on buildplate. Additonal settings are:
All parts A0,…,A9 are glued together.
Parts B0,B1,B2 are glued together. Parts B3,B5 are glued together. Parts B6,B7 are glued together.
All parts C0,…,C7 are glued together.
Everything else is screwed together.
