Fairphone FP3 tripod mount

Introduction

This robust tripod mount for the FP3 can be used in landscape and portrait orientation. It is intended to be used with the FP3 bumper in place, allowing access to all connectors and buttons while in use.

The frame can take three threaded inserts (Ruthex RX-M4x8.1) to mount a quick release plate. 

The provided quick release plate is compatible with a Cullmann Cross CX470 (42mm). Different geometries can be based on the provided STEP and FreeCAD model files.

Additional required parts

• 1x Ruthex RX-M4x8.1 threaded insert (up to 3 can be installed)
• 1x M4x16 Counter sunk screw

A soldering iron or similar tool is required to insert the threaded inserts.

Print Settings

Print with 0.2 mm layer height without supports.

Post Print Processing

After test fitting your phone, place the threaded inserts in the positions best suited for your application. After the inserts are cooled down again, mount the quick release plate with the M4x16 screw:
