Description
I was inspired by one of Joel's (3D Printing Nerd) old designs for a spool wall mounting shelf using 1x2 lumber. I made mine a bit more low profile so you don't use as much vertical space. I've included a 1in wide and a 0.75in wide version of the bracket.
I found that the 0.75in is plenty strong using a 0.6mm nozzle with 4 walls and 40% infill. However, if your wall studs are wider than 16" (US standard) then you might want the extra thickness.
The spacing between lumber pieces is around 5.75", so narrow enough for most 0.5kg spools, and far enough away from the wall for cereal container dry boxes.
Designed using construction screws (2.5" length) for mounting.
