Description

I really wanted to find a high quality poseable Short Stubby model from NieR: Automata, and when I couldn't find anything that really ticked all the boxes, I decided to make one myself.

This kit will require some post processing and a fairly high accuracy print to function correctly. All the joints should be friction fit and should be sanded to your preferred level of snugness. (Or you can just glue the joints in place if you don't ever want to change the pose)

There are a total of 10 points of articulation for a maximum amount of customization in how you can pose your new little machine lifeform friend. He even comes with his own prefilled bucket of oil if you want.

Happy printing!

Printing:
All files with a "_2x" suffix will need two of those parts.

I prefer 3 perimeter layers, as I will probably be handling the model quite a bit and I like to have a good weight to it.

All parts SHOULD be optimized for printing in their default orientation, and should not require supports unless you really want them.

I printed everything at 0.1mm for maximum quality. I also recommend you set your speed a bit slower on the hand parts or add rafts to prevent them tipping over.

Post-Processing:
These parts are meant to fit rather snugly, so the figure can hold poses. I recommend sanding to your preferred snugness and to remove any elephant's foot, or simply gluing everything in place if you don't want to change poses.

I used some thin wire and some E-tape to make the handle for the bucket, but you can use whatever you want. I didn't think a 3d printed option would fit quite as well as something scratchmade.

One note: The head is meant to fit down into the neck very snugly at first, and then snap into place.
