Description
Remix in a loose sense of the word, I used the bristles from the model referenced.
The bristles go all the way to the edge of the brush head, so you need to modify default fan speed/behaviour. For the brush head I print in PETG (the best for this), and turn fan on after layer 1 at 75% speed for bridges. This seems to work well and doesn't cause clumping of the bristles.
For the Handle, print in whatever you'd like. There are 2 versions, one that uses an M3x4 or 5mm heated brass insert, and one that uses a hex nut (ideally nylock). Both use a M3 screw to attach, the bolt length should be at least 10 up to 12 for conical hex head bolts. One you attach you can file down the back of the bolt to make it flush with the handle.
The nut/brass insert go into the hand part. The bolt inserts from the business end of the brush head through the handle.
Print both parts with 4+ perimeters. 0.2mm
Tip 1: If some of the bristles don't slice in slicer, decrease default extrusions width from 0.45 to 0.44 for default and perimeters.
Tip 2: For stronger bristles, enable ‘thick bridges' and also ‘external perimeters first’ options
Tip 3: In Prusa slicer, set Perimeter Generator to Classic not Arcane
Tip 4: Do NOT enable 'detect thin walls'
