Description

The flimsy sleeve that protects the siphon trap cut out of our Schildmeyer Trient Basin Cabinet (sold by ALDI Germany as Ambio Waschbeckenunterschrank) became loose over time. This exposed the edges of particle board which are prone to impact damage by the sinks metal siphoning trap.

So I designed a replacement sleeve that looks a bit cleaner and should be much more durable.

Dimensions:
The dimensions of the cut out 60mm x 225mm with a 30mm radius rounded end. The board itself is 16.3 mm strong.

The Fusion 360 file is availabe if you need to change some of the dimensions. Most of it is parametrically driven:

Print:
Printed in PLA using the standard 0.3mm draft setting.

Installation:
Remove the original sleeve if necessary. Slide the new sleeve in and secure it with two nails to hold it in place. Since you won't have the space to hammer them in just use the hammer's head (or any hard flat item) to push/pull the nails into the particle board (it's a rather soft material).

Happy printing!
