Description
Cabachon Girdle Marker is a Lapidary tool for use in rock grinding/polishing. The tool is used by placing the flat bottom surface of a roughed cabachon shape on the plate at the desired depth. A Sharpie Fine Point marker is placed in the Base in the cabachon rough is rotated against the marker tip creating an even line at the desired girdle height to ensure that the doming area does not exceed the girdle/flat side of the cabachon when grinding. There are two plates, the first allows marking to depths from 1.5mm to 4.5mm and the second from 5.5mm to 8.5mm. The prints also come with an insert to allow an aluminum scribe (also commonly used by Lapidary artists) to be used instead of a Sharpie marker. PETG is recommended as the printing material for it's toughness and stability over PLA.
