Tiffin Stacking Lunch Box

A modern take on the classic tiffin stacking lunch box. Great for nuts and berries or nuts and bolts. Stack a variety of different divider style boxes for a tower of four, five or six boxes high.

Keep in mind that PLA or PETG can be food safe, they aren't necessarily so. But as someone who regularly holds tools, pens, etc., in his mouth, I'm not too worried about keeping dry (or mostly dry) foods in it. I wouldn't, though, want to use it for curries or condiments. If you aren't comfortable with any food near your 3D printed parts, you can always use it for your screws, bearings, electronics or printer parts.

Printing
I've provided a variety of boxes with different style dividers, and with and without the side pivots. Print one of the options with side pivots for the bottom box. Then print three, four or five more of the boxes without side pivots. I've also provided three different lengths of side latches to accommodate stacks of four, five, or six boxes. Print two of whichever latch length you need. Finally, print one lid and one lid handle. The lid handle is the only part that need supports turned on.

Assembly
Hook each latch onto the pivots on either side of the bottom box and splay the latches out to the side. Stack your boxed up, with the lid on top. Flip the latches up over the top of the lid and click into place. Lastly, flex the sides of the handle apart and insert the pins into the pivot holes in the lid.
